I am interested in buying real Rhode Island White Chickens. Any information you have would be appreciated.

I do have real Rhode Island Whites. I have both Single Comb and Rose Comb. The Single Comb's are not recognized by the American Poultry Association but the Rose Comb's are recognized. I do show my RC RIW's at poultry shows and usually take some birds to sell at the shows. I hatch in the spring so hopefully the pullets and cockerels will be grown enough to show. I will be selling the birds in pairs.

Hi CMOM

Can you tell me where you got your original Heritage RIR stock? Just curious. Do you allow visitors to come to the farm to pick up chicks ??? I live in near Ocala FL...  and would rather get my stock nearby instead of shipping from out of state.

Thanks

Randy

My Heritage RIR stock is the Reese/Mohawk line. I bought my first birds from a breeder at the Florida Sunshine Classic in Lake City Florida several years ago. Since I have gotten more birds from a Master Breeder of the same line in Alabama. I will be attending the Central Florida Poultry Breeders Association Inverness show on Saturday October, 25th 2014. I will be bringing some 6 month old cockerels.

I have a 12 acre farm, complete with 40 hens, laying and meat birds. Turkeys, Dairy goats, and a steer, oh! and BB King the Guard Llama! I have about an acre garden. I belong to the High Springs Farm girl connection, and we are looking to visit area farms. Stopped by to check out your web site and farm. Good job! Sissy
